Our history
Whitestone Funerals has been providing Oamaru funeral services since the late 1870s, supporting generations of families across the district with professionalism and care. Our history weaves through the Stringer, Wilson, Perkins, and Ardley families, whose dedication has ensured continuous, compassionate service for well over a century.
The foresight of the Perkins family gifted us our remarkable site on Weston Road, home to facilities found nowhere else in town. Here you will find our funeral chapel, Oamaru’s only crematorium, and our peaceful memorial gardens - a tranquil setting away from the rush of everyday life.
